THE CHALLENGE
The Balvenie is the most handcrafted single malt — the only distillery that grows its own barley, malts on traditional floors, and keeps coopers and coppersmiths on site. But craft had become a buzzword. Every brand claimed it. We needed to show what it actually looks like.
THE INSIGHT
Patience is the product. A Balvenie Single Barrel isn't made — it's selected. Out of 100 casks, only a few make the cut. The recipe is wood, whiskey, and time. Seasons. Years. Decades.
THE WORK
We flew to Dufftown, Scotland and spent time with Master Distiller David Stewart and Brand Ambassador Sam Simmons. We walked the warehouses. We dipped the dog. We made five films that let the craft speak for itself.
THE IMPACT
We ran The Balvenie Rare Craft Roadshow for two years. Then flew to Dufftown to capture the source. The following year, Anthony Bourdain signed on. Raw Craft. The Rare Craft Fellowship. A global partnership. We laid the groundwork.
