They called me back after the Audi pitch.
This time, the ask was different.
Write an experiential anthem for American Express.
The CCO and ECD were both Brits.
So I flexed the mother tongue.
I gave them a sonnet.
Chaps gave me a job.
The wonderment of it all,
the beauty, laughter, triumphs, connectedness –
it's all summed up in the series of moments we create:
the discoveries, the encounters, the chances we take
and those we inspire others to make.
But it's not just any moment that echoes through.
Beyond the fleeting instant, the amazing ones shine on.
Passions so close they strike a rhythm in our bones.
Joyous days we always remember. Epic nights we'll never forget.
They touch us. Surprise us – and send us on a wide-eyed course:
